Art That Sparks Wow!
From tufted pillows and flowing shawls to playful decorative dolls, each piece captures the rhythms, textures, and bright spirit of island life so that every item carries a little bit of home. I invite you to browse, stitch along, or bring a piece of the islands into your home. Every item carries a bit of my story—and I’m glad to share it.
Meet the Founder
I’m Ash, the hands and heart behind TropiCrochet. From my cozy Texas studio, I weave Caribbean warmth and handmade joy into every piece. TropiCrochet — a name born from “tropical” and “crochet” — reflects a simple mission: craft island-inspired art grounded in Caribbean culture and family tradition. Childhood trips to Saint Croix and Saint Lucia left me with memories of turquoise seas, fiery sunsets, warm sand, and lush greenery — those moments color my palette and inspire each design, turning crochet into small stories of the islands.
About The Studio
My approach
Practical and playful: Crochet can be useful and joyful. I design pieces to comfort, delight, and tell stories—whether it’s a cozy pillow for quiet afternoons or a tiny sea turtle for a child.
Story-driven design: My patterns and products draw on West Indian folklore, family memories, and the bold colors of the Caribbean.
Handcrafted with care: Every stitch is made with attention and intention, a small homage to the lively culture that continues to inspire me.
